Sirens blare. Trains screech. The floors above me shake. In my Jersey City basement studio, I close the door and move into a meditative state, connecting to the natural rhythm of breath and heartbeat. My practice is driven by curiosity to create balance between nature and the societal pressures of modern life. Maintaining this relationship is essential for me in our increasingly desensitized world.

I’m not illustrating nature nor copying it, but rather feeling its boundless property. My purpose is to create an opportunity for my audience to have the same spiritual experience observing my work as I do when making it. I do this to reveal the interconnectivity of the human soul, rooted in awe of our coexistence.
